William Blake (1757-1827) has been dubbed the greatest of the English rebel poets. We join him in 1824 on a regular walk from Hampstead Heath to his home in the Strand after spending a day with his friend, the artist John Linnell. On this walk Blake considers the question of ‘Building a New Jerusalem’; his answer measured by his opinions and belief in the power of Creativity.
Robin Hillman is William Blake in the one-man show ‘Fearful Symmetry’. Robin has appeared twice at this Festival; as John Clare and the fictional comedian Jack Luck, both in plays written (like this one) by Stephen Loveless
