James Hornsby Photo.docx In a professional career that spans over thirty-five years, James Hornsby has appeared in over one-hundred and fifty theatrical productions and has worked with some leading playwrights including: Sir Alan Ayckbourn, (COMIC POTENTIAL/Lyric: Shaftesbury Ave), John Godber (Several national tours including BOUNCERS and UP’N’UNDER/ Hull Truck Theatre), Richard Cameron, (THE GLEE CLUB/Duchess Theatre and THE FLANNELETTES/Kings Head Theatre) and Dame Kay Mellor, (A PASSIONATE WOMAN/ New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich and Oldham Coliseum). James has also appeared in many successful productions at Northampton’s Royal Theatre. Television appearances include: SILENT WITNESS, DOCTORS, THE BILL, WITLESS.

After the success of his adaptations of Charles Dickens’ novels: A CHRISTMAS CAROL and GREAT EXPECTATIONS James is delighted to return to Earls Barton Literary Festival with his own one-man adaptation of OLIVER TWIST.
